Alcohol can quiet panic for an hour and spike it all night. Many people drink to manage depression, trauma, or insomnia, then find those symptoms intensify as tolerance and withdrawal develop. When the nervous system is stuck in this cycle, willpower alone is not enough.

Alcohol Rehab Hollywood addresses the mental health drivers first, then stabilizes the body with evidence-based medical and therapeutic care. Integrated treatment helps you sleep, think clearly, and reconnect with the people who matter. Real recovery becomes practical when mind and body heal together.

The Mental Health and Alcohol Connection: What the Research Shows

Alcohol and mental health interact in both directions. Depression, anxiety, and PTSD increase the risk of heavy alcohol use, and heavy use worsens those same conditions through sleep disruption, brain stress pathways, and withdrawal. Treating only the drinking leaves the root causes active, which raises relapse risk.

Integrated care that targets mood, trauma, and alcohol together improves engagement and outcomes. Therapies like CBT, DBT, EMDR, and neurofeedback reduce symptoms that often trigger drinking, while medications support stabilization when appropriate. Learn more about our dual-diagnosis approach in Florida and why mental health first is essential.

What Our Hollywood Alcohol Rehab Program Includes

Patients receive a full psychiatric evaluation on arrival, with a personalized plan built around their story. Therapist caseloads are intentionally small, and the same core team follows patients as they step down through care. For complex cases, GeneSight testing can guide medication choices to reduce trial-and-error.

  • Comprehensive psychiatry and medication management
  • CBT, DBT, EMDR, and neurofeedback therapies
  • Canine Assisted Therapy twice weekly in residential
  • SMART Recovery and optional 12-Step groups
  • Art, music, and mobile fitness programming

Alcohol Rehab Hollywood also includes trauma-informed care, LGBTQIA+ affirming space, and Friday gender-specific groups. Veterans work with Spencer, a 21-year Army veteran, for VA navigation, and TRICARE East is accepted. Our accreditations include JCAHO, AHCA, DCF, NAMI, and PsychArmor, and patients report marked improvements in depression, anxiety, and PTSD. When appropriate, we offer medication-assisted treatment for alcohol use to support long-term stability.

Levels of Alcohol Rehab Care at CBH Hollywood: Detox Through Outpatient

Medical detox at our Hollywood campus provides 24/7 nursing oversight and physician-directed care to manage alcohol withdrawal safely. The team monitors vitals, prevents complications like seizures, and treats anxiety and insomnia while stabilizing mood. You can explore our medical detox services in Hollywood to understand how comfort and safety are prioritized.

After detox, patients move into residential mental health treatment that addresses trauma, depression, and anxiety alongside alcohol use. Individual and group therapies build new coping skills, and therapist caseloads stay small so plans never feel cookie-cutter. Family therapy begins when clinically appropriate because family is part of the treatment team.

Patients then step down to Partial Hospitalization in Fort Lauderdale with the same core clinicians for continuity. Our empowerment-based PHP leveling system rewards engagement, and Level 3 unlocks family therapy, passes, and full programming. Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient follow, with flexible hours and continued medication support.

Recovery Beyond Rehab: Continued Support After Leaving CBH Hollywood

Discharge planning starts in the first week and includes relapse prevention, skills rehearsal, and coordinated follow-ups. We schedule therapy and psychiatry appointments near home, and support MAT continuity when indicated. Read more about how structured aftercare sustains recovery and keeps momentum going.

  • Weekly therapy and psychiatry coordination
  • Medication-assisted treatment when appropriate
  • Compassion Connections family support program
  • Referrals to SMART and community meetings

Our stance on setbacks is compassionate: make it a lapse, not a relapse. If symptoms flare or alcohol use returns, patients can re-engage quickly without shame. The team already knows the story, which helps adjustments happen fast.

I had a wonderful and healing stay at Compassion. Not only did I get the mental help I needed but I felt safe comfortable and supported by all of the staff. Everyone was committed to my recovery. Some of the staff like Cindy, Mike, Alicia, Johnathan, Shauna, and Elena really are not only committed to their clients healing but happiness too during treatment. The food was surprisingly good and there were always ample snacks and entertainment/crafts. The facility is clean and I found my room very comfortable. I would recommend the staff be more informed on the details of the PHP they work with so clients can get their questions about PHP answered quicker. I am so grateful for my stay at Compassion and truly the staff is what made it so welcoming and supportive.
