Dual diagnosis Program

There is a strong link between addiction and mental health disorders. Roughly half of the people with an addiction also have a mental illness. To ensure that both the mental health disorder and the substance use disorder are given the appropriate attention, our two tracks of care are Substance Abuse and Mental Health.

I give 5+ stars to case management…and the rest of the program, and facility, not so much.

I went to Compassion a few months ago, and I want to say how wonderful my case manager, Alaina, was. She is incredibly kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. I have been to other treatment centers, and the case managers that I had to deal with, at those places, were downright lazy, incompetent and uncaring. Alaina, however, got everything taken care in a timely manner, while keeping me informed and updated throughout the processes. Even after I left treatment, she continued to be of great help.
Alaina goes above and beyond and I think that she is Compassion’s greatest asset. She definitely deserves a raise!!

She has a diverse background working in various settings, such as in communities, schools, hospitals, substance abuse, and mental health treatment, as well as with various populations, ranging from children to adults. Lisa’s extensive experience and passion in working with individuals struggling with severe and persistent mental illness has solidified the foundation to effectively treat various diagnoses. She possesses exemplary conceptualization skills to individualize client experience and takes pride in working amongst an interdisciplinary team and leading the clinical department in delivering quality care while meeting the unique needs of each client.
