My experience with the the Case Manager Elena Morales was amazing, she is extremely helpful and most importantly she truly CARES which is hard to find in facilities like these. Especially being that she is the only case manager on staff. She went out of her way to get me a dental appointment and get me food stamps. She also got my cell phone turned back on which was way above and beyond. I can't say enough wonderful things about Elena's professionalism and just all around amazing treatment for her clients

My time at CBH was a positive experience overall. After a mental health crisis, you are connected with a team of professionals who truly want to help people get better. They provide tools, coping strategies, and life skills for a wide variety of mental health struggles. My therapist that was especially helpful to my healing process was Sarah, I could not have been able to get through this without her. Further the facilitators Jake, Raquel, and wellness coach Kelly were all good people that taught you valuable skills in and out of CBH.

The staff was always kind and very responsive with all my needs, the food was good and there was always snacks and ice cream on deck. Everything was very clean and they even do your laundry for you. I definitely recommend CBH to anyone taking their first steps into recovery.

I went to compassion for my mental health, I improved a lot with my emotions and learned to control myself. Elena the case manager helped me organize my appointments for my physical health and is a really nice gal. Jake the facilitator also is the best I always want to be in his groups because it’s very entertaining and also a lot of good insights on how to be a better person, some of the topics he gives is a reality check and it will make you process a lot. Overall the place is really nice and they are compassionate just like there name.

I am very very happy that I came to this place for treatment. I had kept my life on pause for a long time and Compassion helped remind me why life was worth living again. I loved all the friends I made here, the groups were amazing! Shout out to my therapist Shauna! Shoutout to the group counselors Gary and Kelly! I LOVEDDDDD the Yoga sessions. Thank you Sebastian for teaching me to play ping pong. Thank you Cindy for going above and beyond and baking us desserts and setting up games. Thank you Elena for helping me when I needed to order items. I really did enjoy my time here a lot, I am so glad I came. Thank you all so much.

Rehabs That Take UnitedHealthcare: Finding In-Network Treatment That Works

Insurance decisions can stall treatment during a mental health crisis, especially when substance use is also present. UnitedHealthcare members in South Florida often need fast, in-network access to care that addresses depression, anxiety, or PTSD alongside alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, meth, or fentanyl use. Clear benefits guidance helps you enter the safest level of care without unexpected costs.

Rehabs that take United Healthcare reduce financial barriers and shorten the path to stabilization. Choosing a program that treats mental health first, with coordinated support for substance use, can improve outcomes and continuity. Understanding your coverage and confirming network status provides a direct way to start care.

Does UnitedHealthcare Cover Drug Rehab, Detox, and Mental Health Programs?

UnitedHealthcare generally covers behavioral health services, including mental health treatment and care for substance use disorders, based on medical necessity. Benefits may include assessment, therapy, medication management, and withdrawal management or detox when clinically indicated. Coverage varies by plan type, state, and whether the facility is in-network.

Many plans require preauthorization, level-of-care review, and ongoing clinical updates to continue coverage. In-network facilities coordinate with the insurer to document medical necessity and avoid delays. For an overview of comprehensive, mental-health-first care in the region, review Mental health treatment in South Florida.

What UnitedHealthcare Plans Typically Cover for PHP, IOP, Residential, and Detox at CBH

At Compassion Behavioral Health in South Florida, UnitedHealthcare plans often cover medically necessary care across the continuum: medical detox, residential mental health treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP). In-network rehabs that take United Healthcare can reduce out-of-pocket exposure through contracted rates and utilization management support. CBH maintains JCAHO accreditation and state licensing, which supports evidence-based care and medical necessity standards.

Coverage commonly applies to services within each level of care, subject to your specific benefits and authorizations:

  • Detox: 24/7 nursing, medication-assisted withdrawal, medical oversight
  • Residential: mental health therapies, psychiatry, co-occurring support
  • PHP: full-day therapy, skills groups, medication management
  • IOP: structured therapy several days weekly, relapse prevention

Therapies at CBH include CBT, DBT, EMDR, Neurofeedback, SMART Recovery, Family Therapy, and 12-Step options, plus Canine Assisted Therapy at residential. GeneSight testing may guide medication choices in select high-acuity mental health cases. To see how these services align with levels, view See our levels of care.

How to Confirm CBH Is In-Network With Your UnitedHealthcare Plan

Gather your UnitedHealthcare member ID, group number, date of birth, and a clear photo of the front and back of your card. Call the number on your card or log in to your member portal to confirm behavioral health benefits, authorization requirements, and facility network status. Confirming in-network status with rehabs that take United Healthcare prevents billing surprises and speeds admission.

CBH can check your benefits the same day and coordinate required authorizations with UnitedHealthcare. For a secure and fast start, submit our brief form at Verify insurance benefits online. Keep your phone nearby, as a benefits specialist may call with any follow-up questions.

Verifying Your UnitedHealthcare Benefits and Starting Treatment at Compassion Behavioral Health

Once benefits are verified, admissions completes a clinical screening to match the safest level of care. Patients may begin with medical detox in Hollywood, Florida, then transition to our mental health residential program before stepping down to PHP in Fort Lauderdale and IOP with the same core care team. Family stays involved through Compassion Connections, and relapse is met with support, not shame.

Have these items ready for a faster intake:

Frequently Asked Questions About UnitedHealthcare rehab and mental health coverage

Here are quick answers to common coverage and access questions:

  1. Does UnitedHealthcare require preauthorization for residential treatment?

Most plans require preauthorization for residential or PHP levels. Your benefits team can request authorization and submit clinical documentation.

  2. Are detox services covered under behavioral health benefits?

Detox is typically covered when medically necessary and preauthorized. Coverage depends on your plan design and network status.

  3. Can therapies like EMDR and DBT be covered?

Evidence-based therapies are often covered when part of an authorized treatment plan. Specific coverage varies by plan and clinical need.

  4. What information do I need to verify coverage quickly?

Have your member ID, group number, date of birth, and card images. A brief clinical summary helps confirm medical necessity and level of care.

  5. How are deductibles, copays, and coinsurance applied?

They apply based on your plan and in-network contracts. Your out-of-pocket maximum can limit total annual spending.

  6. How soon can admission be arranged after benefits verification?

Many admissions can be scheduled the same day once authorization is obtained. Start times depend on clinical fit and level-of-care availability.
