I graduated with my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Barry University. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Florida Counseling Association. I am fluent in Spanish and English. I was introduced to the helping profession while working as a behavior health technician for five years with those struggling with mental illness and overcoming substance use issues. Since then, I expanded my passion for the helping profession and gained experience working with gender variant and gender/sexuality diverse adolescents in an Intensive Outpatient Program. I have paired my passion for helping others and experience working with multicultural and diverse populations into my counseling approach. I like to utilize various techniques and adapt my approach based on the client’s individual needs and unique experiences. I have experience working with dual- diagnosis, eating disorders, depression, anger management, anxiety, and trauma. Some of my preferred interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.
